Accuro's Commitment to the Environment

There is a corporate responsibility regarding the need to establish policies and practices aimed at environmental initiatives. At Accuro, we make a continual effort to align our process with provincial guidelines.

Currently, Accuro practices the following initiatives to be a better corporate citizen:

Accuro is a recognized depot for the Ontario Electronic Stewardship Program. Electronics such as TV’s, Computers, Cellular phones and associated components can be dropped off at our warehouse. These are consolidated and shipped to a provincial Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) approved recycling plants for proper disposal.

Accuro recycles all paper products through a partnership with Cascades Paper. Accuro collects and ships all paper and cardboard to the local Cascade facility for processing.

Accuro purchases fleet vehicles always with the environment in mind. By targeting the renewal of vehicles, we ensure proper emission standards are maintained. Green vehicles such as electric and natural gas powered vehicles are always reviewed for their practical use within the organization. Accuro works in partnership with the building management, consciously making efforts to conserve energy and make optimal use of recycling for disposable containers and we work with local retailers to recycle all rechargeable batteries.
